A nice stay!

Nice hotel with a lot of facilities. Employees are friendly and the room was very nice. 2 nice pools and chaires available. At night a comfy bar with nice little tables.

The Demi-pension we booked was not really available, we had to pay for little things as water. After speaking to a manager, he fixed it for us. But the information on booking and in the hotel were not the same.

Wonderful

I had a wonderful stay at the Golden Tulip President Hotel in Hammamet, Tunisia. The reception staff, especially Fathia and Iskandar, were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The stay was comfortable, with excellent food and assistance readily available whenever needed. I particularly enjoyed the amazing activities like horse riding. Highly recommend!

The hotel needs a lot of work or they need to take at least two stars down. This was not a 4-star hotel experience.

The staff was extremely nice apart from one man at the reception desk. The breakfast was excellent and the pool area was clean. Every night there were different entertainment options. There was a magic show, karaoke, dancing contest which made things really fun and interesting. You can see the staff tries to make the experience better. Housekeeping was quick and the room was always kept clean.

We came to the hotel the receptionist gave us some papers to fill in. He didn’t even smile at us and was very unapproachable. After I finished filling up the paperwork I was told that my room was on the 5th floor, which was very confusing because I had booked a bungalow. They told me that the bungalows are not working so they gave me a room instead. Nobody informed me about this prior to coming to Hammamet. Since I had no other option I accepted the room and paid the same rate as the bungalow. The room was decent, with clean towels and amenities (shower gel and shampoo). We also got two complimentary small bottles of water even though it was a room for three people. I have stayed in other Golden Tulip hotels and other 4-star and 5-star hotels and usually you are entitled to a small bottle of water for every day during your stay. However, this was not the case here. The second day when I asked the staff for the water they told me it was just for the first day and if I required extra that I would have to pay. The hotel has two elevators out of which just one was operational. There is no telephone inside the room itself so calling reception would be done from a telephone mounted on the wall of the corridor next to the elevator. The room didn’t have a kettle nor a mini coffee/tea station that most of the 3+ star hotels usually have. Half of the things that are shown on the pictures are not even there anymore or are not operational. All in all it was a very bad hotel. I am not blaming the staff at all but it feels like someone who doesn’t even know anything about hotels just woke up one day and decided to open up one. Not the Golden Tulip that I am used to and I stayed in Golden Tulip in Carthage as well as the one in Bangkok and Paris.
